Rosanna Lancia was born in 1925 in Rome. He completed his classical studies and finished the Academy of Fine Arts in 1946. He started with frescoes and sacred art. His first personal painting dates back to 1953 at the L'Obelisco di Gaspero del Corso gallery. In 1959, he participated in the VIII Quadrennial in Rome. From 1965, he switched to plastic language with iron sculptures. in the seventies, he carried out a long research on the resistance of the material which he summarized in the well-known audio-visual "Tensions, a hypothesis of the language". In 1981, he founded the association Spaziodocumento, a center for meeting and analyzing the languages of contemporary art, of which he published the report of the work in 1994. In the following two years, the activity of the association continued. also continues at the University Laboratory Museum La Sapienza di Roma directed by Maurizio Calvesi. In 1995 he participated in the Venice Biennale. There are many solo and group exhibitions in Italy and participations in international exhibitions such as the Copenhagen International Festival of Women Artists in 1980 and the Budapest International Biennial of Sculpture in 1994 and 1996. From 1998 to 2000 he did environmental proposals for the Brenta banks and for the Municipal Museum of Rome. In 2000, he took part in the collective “Contemporary art: work in progress n. 9 "at MACRO. In 2011 the last personal Rigor Paradisi at the Cortese & Lisanti Gallery in Rome. From 1998 to 2000 he made environmental proposals for the banks of the Brenta and for the Municipal Museum of Rome.
